Chord is a modular sofa system defined by its quilted supergraphic topper and intuitive configurability. The system is comprised of just three modules, with a shared footprint and open ended connectivity. The simplicity of the system lends itself to large and unexpected configurations, while encouraging a playful approach to composition and arrangement. Chord draws on inspiration from the low lounge sofas of the 1970s, but with a modern approach to comfort and construction. A multi-density foam seat provides a plush, but springy feel, while an internal wedge cleverly disguises lumbar support within a vertical back rest. The entire product is designed, developed and produced in Canada.

Designed by Nathan Martell and Steve Suchy (2021).
